Brief introduction to
Social Media
Social media has exploded in the past year, you may have noticed the little icons on the bottom of each article on the bbc website.

The whole idea behind social media on websites is to get people noticing, sharing and talking about what you have to offer.

Here is an example of social media at work.

James is a facebook member, he has the average number of friends on facebook which is about 150, he "likes" a product on your website and this then appears on their wall and all 150 of his friends see this.

Instantly 150 new people have seen your product.

Better still one of his friend’s starts a conversation about the product with James and other friends join in and "like" the conversion.

This conversion gets going with a few contributors and because of the active discussion it appears at the top of everyone who’s added a comment facebook profile.

The number of people now who could see it could be endless as the contributors, say 4 of them have the average number of friends so that’s now James + 4 friends = 750 people who can see your product.

That’s not bad seeing as though you haven’t really done anything!

Now this is only a brief example but you must be interested in what social media can achieve, contact us today to find out what we can do to help your site.
